§ 3-62. Landing and parking fees.

  • (a)

    Landing fee established; when due and payable. A fee of $50.00 is hereby established for each landing by an approved air carrier at Eglin Air Force Base when the aircraft utilizes the county air terminal for the enplanement and/or deplanement of passengers or for the servicing of such aircraft. The fee of $50.00 shall be due and payable at the air terminal manager's office within 15 days after each landing.

    (b)

    Overnight parking fee; when due and payable. An additional fee of $25.00 shall be charged to the carrier for each aircraft overnight at the county's air terminal facility. Overnight is hereby defined as "remaining upon the county facility past midnight of the day the aircraft arrives at the county facility." The parking fee shall be charged for each twenty-four-hour period, or part thereof, that such aircraft remains upon the county air terminal apron beyond its initial arrival. The parking fee of $25.00 per day shall be due and payable at the county air terminal manager's office within 15 days of the accrual of the charges.

    (c)

    Landing and taxiing; prior approval required; exception. Prior approval for landing at Eglin Air Force Base and taxiing to the county air terminal must be coordinated through the county air terminal manager's office, except for landings made because of in-flight emergencies.

    (d)

    Applicability of provisions. The provisions of this section are applicable to any and all FAA-certified commercial air carriers, except Southern Airways, who utilize Eglin Air Force Base and the county air terminal for the purpose of special charter flights, emergency landings and/or aircraft servicing. The use of Eglin Air Force Base and the county air terminal by air carriers will be in accordance with the joint use agreement of August 28, 1972, between the county and Eglin Air Force Base.
