§ 6.01.09. Variances.

Where strict adherence to the provisions of this ordinance would cause an unnecessary hardship due to topographical or other conditions peculiar to the site, the board of adjustment may authorize a variance as to lot size or minimum dimensional requirements at the time of project approval. Such a variance shall apply only to the requirements directly affecting the particular hardship, and shall not be detrimental to the intent of this ordinance. Any request for a variance shall be submitted in writing to the board at a public hearing after recommendation has been received from the public works department.
