§ 6. Funding.

(1)

Funds for services to be provided will be derived from special assessments within the district.

(2)

All customers utilizing the services of the Okaloosa County Water and Sewer System shall be billed and pay the monthly assessment for the district with the monthly water and sewer charges. In the event the monthly assessment for funding of the district is not paid when due, all county services, including water and sewer services, shall be discontinued and/or disconnected. The monthly assessment and the administrative fee for collection shall be set and may be amended by motion of the board of county commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida.

Any new area to be encompassed in the district shall be assessed with an additional monthly assessment for the capital outlay required for the installation of street lights in accordance with the schedule recommended by the advisory committee and approved by the governing body.
