§ 5-73. Permit fees.

(a)

Annual permits. Annual permits shall be issued upon payment of the applicable fee, as follows:

(1)

Each kennel authorized to house fewer than ten dogs or cats ..... $   50.00

(2)

Each kennel authorized to house ten or more but fewer than 50 dogs or cats ..... 100.00

(3)

Each kennel authorized to house 50 or more dogs and cats ..... 200.00

(4)

Each pet shop ..... 75.00

(5)

Each riding stable ..... 75.00

(6)

Each auction ..... 50.00

(7)

Each zoological park ..... 200.00

(8)

Each circus ..... 100.00

(9)

Each performing animal exhibition ..... 100.00

(10)

Each grooming shop ..... 100.00

(b)

Separate permit for each facility. Every facility regulated by this article shall be considered a separate enterprise requiring an individual permit.

(c)

Breeding kennels. Persons operating kennels for the breeding of dogs or cats may elect to license such animals individually.

(d)

Exemptions. No fee may be required of any veterinary hospital, animal shelter or government-operated zoological park.

(e)

Reclassification of facility; fee adjustment. Any person who has a change in the category under which a permit was issued shall be subject to reclassification. In such cases, an appropriate adjustment of the permit fee shall be made.
