Division 1. IN GENERAL |
§ 19-76. Definitions.
Emergency vehicle shall specifically mean:
(1)
Any vehicle, vessel or boat, whether motorized or not, used by any law enforcement officer of any city, county, the State of Florida, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Coast Guard, agencies of the Department of Homeland Security or the Armed Forces of the United States while on official business;
(2)
Any vehicle, vessel or boat, whether motorized or not, used by any employee of the county, any city within Okaloosa County, the State of Florida, the state fire department or any fire district that operates within Okaloosa County;
(3)
Any vehicle, vessel or boat, whether motorized or not, designated as an emergency vehicle by the department of highway safety and motor vehicles;
(4)
Any vehicle, vessel or boat, whether motorized or not, designated as an emergency vehicle by the sheriff, police chief, public safety director, or fire chief of any fire district that operates within Okaloosa County, for the purposes of responding to emergencies;
(5)
Law enforcement, firefighting or rescue vessel owned or operated by a governmental entity.
Vessel shall mean every description of watercraft, barge, airboat or other artificial contrivance used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water.
Vessel exclusion zone shall mean the area defined as area corridor 40 feet wide centered about a line described by two points by the following longitude and latitude points as depicted on Attachment "A":*
Point 1: 30 degrees, 23 minutes, 45 seconds north, 86 degrees, 31 minutes 10 seconds west.
Point 2: 30 degrees, 23 minutes, 48 seconds north, 86 degrees, 31 minutes, 25 seconds west.
