§ 15-141. Purpose and scope.

This division is enacted pursuant to Section 401.25(6), Florida Statutes, for the purpose of providing standards and necessary regulations for the issuance of certificates of public convenience and necessity for emergency medical transportation services. All emergency medical services-providers within the county must be certified and licensed as an advanced life support service by the state in accordance with applicable state statutes and the state administrative code. This division shall apply and be in force within the incorporated and unincorporated areas of the county except as otherwise specified.
