§ 12-324. Storage of towed vehicles.

Any person involved in the removal of any vehicle from private property without the consent of the registered owner or other legally authorized person in control of that vehicle shall store the vehicle in compliance with the provisions set forth in Section 715.07, Florida Statutes. The vehicle shall be stored at a site within 15 miles of the point of removal. The site shall meet the requirements set forth in Section 713.78(7)(b), Florida Statutes. Under no circumstances shall the vehicle be temporarily stored at a site not meeting the aforementioned requirements.
