§ 12-69. Remounting, melting, etc., jewelry or precious metals.

  • It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker, pawnshop or secondhand dealer receiving secondhand jewelry or precious metals, including gold, silver and platinum, to sell, exchange, barter, remove from the business premises, or change the form of any of such items by remounting, melting, cutting up, or otherwise changing the form of such items for a period of five days from the date of receipt of the same.
