  • An ordinance is hereby approved by the board of county commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida, to provide that the entire area north of the Eglin Air Force Base Military Reservation be hereby designated as a special library district. The county further designates the special library district as the single administrative unit for library services. The county further designates the Robert L. F. Sikes Public Library, owned and operated by the City of Crestview, to centrally administer free library services to this special library district and approves the right of the City of Crestview, through the Robert L. F. Sikes Public Library, to receive and expend funds as long as the City of Crestview elects to continue this expanded service. The adoption of this ordinance does not imply that Okaloosa County shall assume any financial responsibility for the operation of the district.
