Pursuant to Chapter 125, Florida Statutes, there is hereby established the Okaloosa
County Beach Restoration Project Municipal Service Benefit Unit. The boundaries of
such Unit shall consist of the real properties within the boundaries described in
Appendix "B" attached hereto. The Unit shall consist of two separate assessment areas.
The Okaloosa Island Assessment area shall consist of those real properties within
the boundaries described in Appendix "C", attached hereto. The Destin West Assessment
area shall consist of those real properties within the boundaries described in Appendix
"D", attached hereto, except that area consisting of the real property within the
boundaries described as the Oceania Condominium as recorded in Book 1974 at Page 90
of the Official Records of Okaloosa County, Florida (as also defined as that area
between Reference Marker R-22.6 and R-23.2), which shall be excluded. Each Assessment
area within the Municipal Services Benefit Unit shall have its own funding formula
and assessment dependent upon numerous factors including, but not limited to, public
beach accessibility, and grant or other participatory funding availability.
