§ 3. Same—Terms of office.

The board of fire commissioners shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners of Okaloosa County, Florida, and shall serve until such commissioners cease to be qualified to act, resign, or are removed for cause. An alternative fire commission shall be appointed to serve in the event of the absence from a meeting of one (1) of the regular commissioners. All future appointments shall be reflected in the official minutes of the meetings of the board of county commissioners of Okaloosa County.
